Wieden it’s self has a total of seven ski lifts offering varying levels of downhill slopes for all the family ( red, blue and black).

Snowboarders and cross country skiers will also be impressed by the piste and the well prepared trails.

The Belchen ski slopes make an ideal training ground for the smaller members of the family whilst in Multen ( not too far from the Belchen ) there is a well prepared nursery slope for beginners ( with realistic prices!)

The Feldberg ( the Black Forest’s highest mountain) has a total of nine draglifts, two chairlifts ( one is a six seater and the other is a two seater )  a snowboard park and a special lift for children. Part of the Feldberg ski complex is the World Cup downhill course with it’s stunning gradient.  With the Feldberg lift cards a total of twelve other lifts in surrounding villages may also be used – giving you absolute flexibility. There are a further twelve slopes and six cross country trails also in the surrounding areas. Two outdoor ice skating rinks are also within easy driving distance.

Flood lighted ski slopes are also open on particular nights.

For the less ski orientated there is also a hillside road within Wieden which is open for sledging as soon as the snow has arrived. This is also free of charge for guests and locals alike ( which eases the strain on the purse strings a little!)

Another alternative to skiing is to take a snow shoe hike through the snow to the Belchen ( or surrounding areas)  and watch the sunrise or even the sunset. Guided tours are also on offer .Take a look at www.aktivsport-maier.de

Snow shoes can be rented at our tourist information centre.

There are several indoor skating rinks within a reasonable distance so there is always something to do !
